"We help smart companies take flight." Going by the statement, Microsoft Ventures does exactly what a start-up needs to turn their vision into reality. The Microsoft Accelerator Program encourages entrepreneurs in terms of mentoring, technical guidance and helps in connecting them with consumers and other startups.

In 2014, 16 start ups constitutes the summer batch at the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator program. CoolAge interviewed some of the start ups like Appointy- an online scheduling software that helps businesses grow virally, Boutline- a personalized social media discovery platform for sports, Docspad- a unique technology that helps in handling/storing any kind of data and SlideRule- a start up that helps in discovering the world's best online courses in every subject. Startups at the Microsoft Accelerator, Bangalore
Microsoft Ventures in India has graduated 35 startups since August 2012, and about 80 percent of them have been funded so far. Two graduates, Adepto and Plustxt, have been acquired.

While start ups like Docspad and Boutline were selected at events organized by Microsoft Ventures industry partner Nasscom, most of the other start ups went through rigorous selection process which includes face-to-face presentations in front of a panel of judges.
