A new anthem for women - "Break the Chain"
Women all over the world now have a common anthem and it's called "Break the Chain". Composed as part of the ONE BILLION RISING campaign, the song is produced by Eve Ensler and V-Day, directed and shot by South African filmmaker Tony Stroebel, written and produced by Tena Clark with music by Tena Clark and Tim Heintz, and featuring dancer and choreographer Debbie Allen.
ONE BILLION RISING campaign began as a call to action based on the shocking statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. Women all over the world danced to the song on Valentine's Day at flashmobs, parades, colleges and even in their homes to show their solidarity with the movement.
