The 'Unconventional' INK Talks

After successfully conducting TEDx conferences, now, the campus is all set to witness INK talks on 25th August. Themed 'unconventional', Innovation and Knowledge (INK) Talks BITS Goa is a Pre-Quark event and is held in association with Mahindra Rise.

INK talks are a physical podium for people to share ideas and drive them into action. It is usually conducted in association with TED which is an even more magnificent conference. With an undeterred focus on pushing geographical boundaries and forging networks worldwide, INK is now no less than a global renaissance.

Mahindra Rise, the sponsor, is taking technology to grassroots level and has a variety of programmes to bring positive changes in society. It encourages people to develop innovative solutions for a lot of societal problems. In Mahindra's own words, "Rise is a call to action. It's the challenger spirit that leads us to build ourselves a better life." Mahindra Rise also has events for INK Talks such as Click to change, Write to change, a Mahindra Rise Quiz with lots of prizes and goodies to be won.

Without a doubt, Mahindra Rise is the mainstay in materializing INK talks at BITS-Goa.
INK Talks BITS Goa will feature innovators in their fields. These people took the plunge to break the convention and have demonstrated remarkable achievements. And, yeah they belong to diverse fields which guarantee engaging, interesting and eclectic dialogues.

The speakers with their short profiles are as follows:

-Joi Barua, a prominent Bollywood playback singer;
-Anupam Mukerjee, the man behind Fake IPL Player blog;
-Vivek Nair who was featured in the acclaimed 'Forbes 30-under-30' list for his ingenious method of transforming industrial carbon emissions into carbon nanotubes;
-Krushnaa Patil, the youngest Indian woman to successfully climb Mt. Everest;
-Dr. Virendra Sangwan who led a team that developed lab-free technique to generate stem cells will share some wisdom and
-Charles Ma, a Bangalore based Bharatnatyam dancer and contemporary choreographer renowned for his distinct and controlled dance style.
With an array of diversified professed speakers INK Conference is definitely something to watch out for.
