Ecostasy -The Economic Ecstasy at Shri Ram College of Commerce
Fests in Delhi University are what one would call 'the' ultimate extravaganza where the numbness of winter chill is devoured by the events of all sorts – academic, arts and sports. The January chill in Shri Ram College of Commerce was vanquished by ECOSTACY – the annual economic fest organized by the college's Economic Society. Apparently the name SRCC goes hand in hand with the title of nerds, which this fest proved otherwise. The fest saw participation from many outstation colleges.
This year the fest kick started with never-heard-before G-20 summit, based on lines of MUN but with variations witnessed in an actual G-20. With participants being highly experienced MUNers from across the country, what followed was formally managed heated debates always dwindling on the verge of a verbal duel- accentuated with- so-formal smiles. The event was deemed as a success with a new level of debating achieved by the participants and enjoyed by audience.
That notwithstanding, Mockstocks and Biz Buzzer- the quiz were held on 11th; both these events saw humongous amount of participation from colleges across DU and India. The events proceeded to the next day with the footfall reaching unprecedented levels and the organizers, the students, managing everything meticulously.
What followed the were events like Monopoly- the board game which was played on a life size flex, which saw participation of about 150 teams in the first round. Who says that buying and selling of properties is not fun!
The HR event – Mr. Entrepreneur was another crowd puller with the wackiest of situations given to the participants to analyze their management skills. This fun filled event saw fierce competition from colleges such as St. Xavier's Mumbai and Kolkata, Loyola College, St. Stephen's, College of Business studies, sweating it out!
The fest ended on a high note with innumerable teams
