So it has been a two months since we have been working on organizing this Media fest and he still stammers when it comes to saying the name of the fest. 'Aakanya' oops! Sorry it is AKHYANA, a yearly inter-collegiate fest organized by the students of Public relations. This was the third year of the fest. Every year the fest adopts a theme along with which the panel discussions and the events go about.

This time Akhyana was on the 27th January 2012 and 'Behind the Scenes- Links to the box-office' was the theme of Akhyana 2012. The reason for the theme was that, at one point we all realized we just don't watch a movie for the actors or the director. Sometimes we like the songs, wardrobe, script, art, because of the over-rated promotion, pictography etc, thus anything that can attract our attention when the film is released. So, the Akhyana team chose to invite professionals who have been a part of the film industry and can unveil to us how these few factors that also come to influence in making of a good movie. Ms.Lovleen Bains- Costume designer for Rang de Basanti, Taal, Mangal Pandey, Mr. Basha- Distributor, Ms. Pooja Ramesh- Art director- Casanova, Rupa Manjari – Actor Tournament, Thiru Thiru as Guest of honor were the Panelists.
