Everyone in Jyoti Nivas College can twist and turn and rock the floor. That is what happens once in a while when we are too stressed and we want to dance like the there is no one around, and it is usually behind closed doors. Not this time! The Jyoti Nivas college flash mob was certainly a memorable experience for the dancers and a one-shot answer.
There were almost hundred girls who were a part of the flash mob. The announcements started a week before the event and all the girls were excited. Extra-excited because of the college fest.
Nevertheless, the girls soon after had a registration round and practice began. The was a lot of ideas clashing as to what song must they dance for, since Joseph's Commerce college had already chosen Kolaveri and Jyotinivites firstly detest copying, and they are Kolaveri and Chammak Challo saturated and can't take it anymore (though we keep playing it in our auditorium). The next two days were a mind boggling session for songs, and then they zeroed down to 'Keep on dancing till the world ends' by Britney Spears, and Tai tai phiss - Chillar Party.
With hours of practice and then it was set. Thanks to Trishika's, our cultural secretary and an amazing dancer's choreography, it looked energetic till the end. "I am science student, with internals going on and all the assignment shizz this was certainly a change. With an hour's practice everyday I think it was something I couldn't miss at all. Dancing with friends was also a major attraction. You don't keep dancing like this everyday you see! ", says Jeevita a BSc student and now, a dancing enthusiast! The dancers, most of them being behind-the-closed-door dancers, were quite excited about the whole flash mob idea and put in their best efforts to learn the steps.
