An extract from the diary of Alishya, Mount Carmel College
I think in all my years at MCC, my second year was the best. Second year was a roller coaster of fests, competitions, seminars and what could sum it up is the work you get to do with the seniors. Our seniors make our word in the second year. There is this one girl, Alishya who is at her best in leaving an indelible mark in the heart of the many lecturers and her friends. You ask for a favourite senior and there comes Alishya's name from all her lovely juniors with me no exception. I take it to be a privilege to have her on my list which is of those seniors whom I am looking forward to interview.
When asked what her few best moments in MCC were, she very gleefully said, "Final year had its up and downs, filled with stress and fun. The most stressful time of the time is the placement months, where one by one we pushed ourselves to try out for campus placements. The biggest lesson I've learnt from the placement process what that you need to believe in yourself. The placement rounds are long and tiring and when interview questions are designed to find out your flaws, the only thing that will help you is the confidence in yourself.
It gave me a chance to bring out my leadership qualities when I became the secretary of the Literary Association. I also took up the role of event head for the entrepreneurship development competition for the Cross currents fest. During the jam packed 2 day
