Feb 7th 2012 06:00AM

Every year SRMCEM publishes a college magazine and the students submit their work in the form of articles, poems, literature, facts and figures, their college life, etc.

Till now Genesis has been a long journey. "Genesis" as the name symbolizes, truly lives up to its name. There was a lot of work and every one toiled and burned the midnight oil. Genesis an abyss of imagination gave us a platform to unleash our creativity. It gives every student a literary space of their own where they can show their versatility. It was hard work as well as a lot of fun to be a part of the Genesis team. It is said "The pen is mightier than the sword" Indeed it is true to a great extent.

The Literary cell helps in selecting the articles to get published in the college magazine. The Literary cell consists of student coordinators of all branches every year. The articles selected collectively by them are given to the publishing authority to further select and refine them. Students feel proud if their articles are published in college magazine as they become famous among all the students of our college.

I can not forget to quote some of the very interesting, funny, informative articles out of last year's edition as an example: The title of magazine articles were-"Men not allowed" by Apoorva Dikshit, "A Student's Dilemma" by Raghvendra S. Tomar, "Realization" by Swati Jaiswal, "Being Happy" by Siddharth Mishra, "What B.Tech is all about" by S.Takiyar etc. The college magazine also publishes the wonderful images of the models of the year.

The magazine covers all faces of college life as well as other matters related to a good well being. The articles are also given by some faculties too. These articles after selection are presented in front of our Dean for her approval and after her approval it finally
